![]() ![]() Again Paladins are good at aggro keeping, but they are not ideal for pure dps fights. In raid, Paladins also have the advantage of being immune to fear, which is rarely but then most importantly an issue. However, they are not the best aggro fetchers, at this Warriors are better. In group, Paladins are said to be the best aggro keepers. Before this change, Paladins had one slot less, resulting in a serious hitpoint disadvantage compared to the other two tank classes. ![]() This feature is nevertheless used a lot by Paladins, because certain such ranged weapons grant a big boost of extra hitpoints (most famously the ' Crossbow of the Wilted Forest'). More recently they gained the ability to use bows and crossbows, but they get no weapon skill for it. They are also allowed to use twohanded weapons and wear medium armor, but either of these are a rare sight. Occasionally they might use Throwing Hammers for ranged attacks. Paladins require a Shield for many of their abilities, including a passive one for increased damage, and usually wear Heavy Armor. ![]() The paladin possesses special powers called Gifts of Virtue such as Final Stand, Combat forms and Aura's such as Aura of Divine Power and a hefty array of regular steel and magic that goes towards achieving this end - and all this to further the cause of the paladin. The master of retribution on those that would insist on visiting harm to his or her comrades, the paladin is a shining beacon of protective power and bolstering courage to those around. In addition to the tank or Protective Fighter role, Paladins excel at the art of protecting others through active, personal intervention. Vanguard Paladins, Warriors of Light, have been described as "the crusaders of Telon." ![]()
